The cricketing fraternity came together on Tuesday night to raise a toast for the retired Rahul Dravid as they fondly remembered the immense contribution of the batting stalwart, who emotionally remarked that he will miss being part of the Indian dressing room.

Accolades such as "huge pillar" of Indian cricket "greatest number 3 bat" and one of the "best cricketers and ambassadors" poured in from former and current teammates who paid glowing tributes during a star-studded felicitation function in Mumbai.

ICC rankings: Tendulkar looks for improvement

Senior India batsman Sachin Tendulkar would eye his 100th international century and also improve his position in the ICC ranking for the ODI batsmen when Asia Cup begins in Mirpur on Sunday.

Tendulkar has scored 51 Test and 48 ODI centuries in an illustrious 23-year career but the 100th century has been eluding him since last year's ICC Cricket World Cup.

In addition to this, Tendulkar's current ranking of 29th is his lowest since December 1991, when he had slipped to 31st position. The 38 year-old's highest career ranking is at the top of the listings, a mark he first achieved in February 1996.

Dravid will be sorely missed by the game, says Watson 

Stand-in Australian captain Shane Watson paid glowing tributes to Rahul Dravid, describing the retiring Indian batting stalwart as a "phenomenal man" and the "nicest guy" he has ever met in cricket.

Dravid, the second most prolific batsman in Test history, is expected to draw curtains to his 15-year-old marathon Test career at a press conference in Bangalore later on Friday.

Yuvraj completes second cycle of chemotherapy

Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh has completed the second cycle of chemotherapy, continuing his recovery from a rare germ cell cancer in Boston.

"Second cycle has finished today! Had a bleomycin shot feeling weak but I'm sure tom will be a better day! My next scan dated on 7th march," the 30-year-old left-hander tweeted.
